WHAT IS PRACTICAL INTERNSHIP?
Practical Internships are the SPECIFIC mission areas a student MUST serve for a prescribed tenure in order to gain applicable practical experience as a pastor or in ministry.
IMPORTANCE OF PRACTICAL INTERNSHIPS
Seventy percent [70%] of your course grades will be derived from the QUALITY, EXTENT and QUANTITY of time you have SERVED in the designated areas of your calling or course major.
HOURS OF INTERNSHIPS
These are the number of PRACTICAL SERVING hours expected for each academic year and level:
Year 1 Total = 520 Hours - Ordinary Certificate
Year 2 Total = 520 Hours - Ordinary Diploma
Year 3 Total = 720-999 Hours - Advanced Diploma
Year 4 Total = 1,000-2,080 Hours - Bachelors/Post Graduate

QUALITY OF INTERNSHIP
Must be served at a credible location or establishment approved by the academy.
DOCUMENTING YOUR INTERNSHIP
All internship or practical experience gained as part of your training must be FULLY documented on APPROVED INT-FORM-105, signed by a credible overseer/Elder/director at the place where serve,stamped and delivered weekly to the office of the Director of Internships of the academy for grading, recording & evaluation.
TYPES OF INTERNSHIPS
Your MAJOR internships are the main AREAS of ministry SPECIALITY which you need to have acquired most hours in whilst your MINOR Internships are your ELECTIVE [OPTIONAL] areas.
INTERNSHIP VENUE
Must be at an adequate mission/church or external agency where the student is capable of gaining pastoral & ministry experience valid towards his/her qualification sought at SFA.
SUBMISSION PROTOCOL
Submit on INT-FORM-105 by 3pm of the Monday following the completion of the week's service at an approved location.
GRADING OF INTERNSHIPS
Your internship forms 70% of the course work in order to graduate
Must score not less that 75% Grade on each assignment. Lower grades calls for a repeat assignment.
